The network is aiming at increasing collaboration in the field of physical phenomena related to quantum dot (QD) and nano scale physics. The bulk part of the groups are devoted to theoretical research - first principles electron structure calculations, reactivity of QD:s and nano structures on surfaces, transport properties of QD, correlation effects and magnetic properties of QD. The experimental Scanning tunneling microscopy group in Aarhus is world leading in its field and applies advanced tools for detailed studies of nano structures on surfaces.
