Ann-Marie Mårtensson-Pendrill

Ann-Marie Mårtensson-Pendrill is professor in the at the Department of Physics, Göteborg University Her research background is computational atomic physics , with a special focus on effects due to nuclear structure and weak interaction in heavy atoms. She has been a member (1992-97) of the Programme Committee for Physics (PuF) at the Swedish Natural Science Research Council (NFR) and of the the Swedish Council for High-Performance Computing (HPDR) . .

During the period Jan 1998-July 00, she was a science expert for the teacher education committee at GU. During the period Aug 2000-dec 2002, she spent part of her time at Högskolan i Skövde, where she was involved with the newly created teacher education. During 2004, she was part of HSV's group evaluating university physics eduations in Sweden. Her teaching in 2006-7 includes the introductory physics course for Engineering Physics at Chalmers, as well as a few courses for student teachers.

Her outreach activities include physics activities at Liseberg and editing the member magazine for the Swedish Physical Society. During 2004-2005, she was supported by the Council for the Renewal of Higher Education to develop Amusement Park Mathematics in Teacher Education, and by CSELT for a project "Engineering Physics for the Whole Body".
