Speed Monster - Corkscrew
After the passing through the loop, the train goes through a large
corkscrew on the way back to the station.
The graph below shows how the g-forces vary as the train passes the
corkscrew as in the photos.
The photo above shows the train at the top of the middle coil. The
photos below show the train on the way in and out of the last coil.
- In the photo above, the track looks a bit flattened at the
top. Why? How does the train move?
- The accelerometer graph shows that the g-force is somewhat less in
the bottom of the coils than just before and after.
Is it possible to see from the picture how that can happen?
- How is the g-force in the rider affected by the twists in the track?
