Speed Monster - Brakes

Finally, the train reenters the station. Notice the metal sheets at the end of the track, that provide the braking force through eddy currents. The diagrams below compare the acceleration during launch and during the final braking.

How fast does the train brake?
What is the speed when the train comes around the corner?
How much energy has been lost during the tour

Heating up?

You might also consider the heating of the brakes which have to take up the energy.

Count the number of "braking swords".
Their dimensions are 825mm*200mm*6mm. Calculate their total volume
How much would they heat up from stopping a single train if the swords were made of copper and the heat would be distributed equally over them. The density of copper is 9 times the density of water, and the heat capacity is 385 J/(kg K).
