Tusenfryd, Finkarusellen
This classical carousel gives you the chance to perform a miniature
version of classical physics experiment:
- Get a small cuddly toy (about 10-15 cm)
- Tie a string (max 0.5m) to the toy
- Hold the toy in the string
- As the carousel moves, let the toy swing
- Hold you hand still
- Observe the swinging toy
- (If it stops, start it again!)
This shows the principle behind Foucault's classical experiment in
Pantheon in Paris, demonstrating the rotation of the earth.
